Hitch-Hiking with a bicycle in Russia and Central Asia.
« on: March 18, 2010, 10:47:35 PM »
I know it might sound silly to want to hitch-hike with a bicycle but I like to know if it is a possibilityot not. I am planning a trip in Russia and some of the stan counties and I was wondering if anyone know if it is a possibility or not. Russia is huge and thereis some region I would like to skip, being on a low budget I would like to know f I can hve this option. I did it in Turkey nd it was so easy (I even had truckers stopping while I was riding asking me if I needed a ride!). I know it is not in the culture in SE Asia and most of Africa to give free ride o I wanted to know for Russia. Anyone?

Sorry, I have no info about Russia and the Stans.
But in all of South America it was was very easy to hitchhike with a bike.
So in many countries it is definitely possible.
