hey Vladfil do you know what are the visa requirement for russia? Is it expensive? I heard you need someone to invite you, some kind of official paper? How long is the visa? I was thinking maybe take the transiberian... do you have any info. thks

Visa is not a big problem. You can find some information www.rctc.ru/visa.html (http://www.rctc.ru/visa.html) You need an invitation from Russian tourist company or organization. Easier to get a tourist visa (up to 1 month) otherwise you need a business visa.

If you cycle for long distance through Russia to Siberia you should know that you have to take main roads which are boring and not safe. Personally I would prefer to cycle in particular region (like European part of Russia, Baikal etc.) and use small roads.
